I met the crowd at Temple at noon one Saturday
Got a pint in The Edinburgh Tavern to set us on our way
Tom drank a pint of heavy but drank it down too quick
And ran off out into the street the first one to be sick

A half a pint at every stop that was our intent
Got a half in at Blackfriars supped it down and off we went
We drank a pint at Cannon Street 'cause Mansion House was shut
By the time we reached Tower Hill half the party were half cut

In the bookies at Aldgate to put money on a horse
In The White Hart at two and we were still on course
From Liverpool Street to Baker Street we were doing well
Some joined in and some fell out but I was too drunk to tell

The Welsh sang “Calon Lan”, the Irish “Men Behind The Wire”
We then sang “Flower of Scotland” in a drunken Celtic choir
The Kiwis tried a Haka but settled for a maul
Playing rugby with a traffic cone on the Circle Line Crawl

At Paddington a granny was getting off a train from bath
Checker bowled right past her and she landed on her arse
She wanted him arrested for causing an affray
He got off with a warning and we were on our way

Made it to South Kensington all as pissed as farts
Some talked sport and politics and some poured out their hearts
Me and George were feeling ill and bolted for the door
I chucked up in a litter bin and he spewed up on the floor

Met a mob at Victoria and Alan he got hit
Andy tried to help him but fell drunk arse over tit
Simon pacified them we ran to the pub but then
We met some bastard bouncer who knocked Alan down again

In a pub at Embankment we drank our final round
Alan collapsed I threw up and we were homeward bound
Mike went Northern to a party most Bakerlooed it West
Checker passed out on the Piccadilly the District me I guess

Checker woke at Heathrow and there he spent the night
Mike woke up in hospital having been caught in a fight
I guess woke up somewhere I really can't recall
Took a weeek to sober up from the Circle Line crawl
